Austin Wedding and Event Coordinators Weds

Austin, TX - Austin Wedding and Event Coordinators (AWEC) and the Austin chapter of The International Special Events Society (ISES) today announced they have joined forces in order to work together to strengthen ISES’ wedding presence in Austin.
“ISES has had a banner year with a 27% increase in membership. One of our goals was to increase our contingent of event planners and we couldn’t be happier to add more of Austin’s finest event planners to our organization,” said Stacey Hoyt, ISES Austin’s President. “We have exciting plans to bring more wedding-focused educational topics to our meetings.”
As part of the agreement, AWEC will cease to operate and all AWEC members were offered a one-year ISES membership.
“AWEC has been a huge part of the Austin wedding industry and we are thrilled to join ISES and work with their stellar existing members,” said Gina Whittington, AWEC’s President. “Our goal is networking and education and we know that our networking and education opportunities will multiply with ISES.”
